Cubbon Park

Cubbon Park Officially Called As Sri Chamarajendra Park is located in the city of central administrative area. Cubbon park originally created in 1870, founded by Sri Jhon Meade it’s spread over an area of 300 acres and it is a home of more than 6,000 trees that support an ecosystem. And some of the major structures of the city such as the Attara Kacheri, Cubbon park museum and Seshadri Iyer memorial park also situated here. Another attraction in the park is the Bangalore Aquarium, which is the second-largest aquarium in India. Cubbon Park was originally spread over 100 acres in the past but later on, it extended to 300 acres, initially the park was called “Meade's Park” and later on it to be known as the Cubbon Park.
One of the most popular attractions in the Cubbon park is the Bangalore aquarium.it was recognized in the year of 1983 and is situated in an Octagonal building and it is having three different floors first floor itself has 14 large water tanks and second floor itself 69 tanks in that aquarium you see the multiple Catla, prawns, goldfish, sharks, moon tail, and multicoloured water animals so many are included in this aquarium.
One more interesting thing in Cubbon park is Toy train(Putani express) is a wonderful way to explore the park.whick is a brightly coloured motor train that runs on biofuel.

A delicate combination of regular and man-made sights, Cubbon Park has multicoloured extraordinary flower beds coating its different roads which are found near significant structures like Central Public Library, Government Museum, Sir Vishweshwariah Industrial and Technological Museum, the Karnataka High Court, Venkatappa Art Gallery, and so on. Various statues like that of Queen Victoria, King Edward VII, Major General Sir Mark Cubbon, Rajya Dhurandhara Sir K. And other attractions like lotus pond, Ringwood circle, bamboo groove nook and dancing fountain. The park also has the Jawahar Bal Bhawan which offers the toy train rides especially activity for children.

Cubbon Park is situated in the heart of the city and it is able to reach from M.G. Road, Kasturba Road, Hudson Circle, And Ambedkar Veedhi. The Park be in very close to the state central library. You can reach easily by hiring a cab or KSRTC bus from every point in the city. If you plan to travel via the Bangalore metro, you can get down at the Cubbon Park metro station, from where the park itself is about 100 metres away.
