Madiwala lake is one of the biggest lakes in Bangalore and it spread over an area of 270 acres. it built by the Cholas in a day, water in the lake was fit for drinking till the early 1990s. But now it has become unfit for drinking due to waste and sewage entering the waterbody. And this lake is Situated in the BTM layout. This lake regularly becomes polluted. It is home to many traveling birds. The lake maintained by the Administration Of The Karnataka State Forest Department.
